Changes to Bus Services from 1 September 2025

There are a number of changes, some may help, some very bad for local people.
- 470 bus Longfield to Bluewater
- Service being axed
- 479 bus New Ash Green to Bluewater
- new operator (Brookline Coaches of Ryarsh)
- one additional journey to Bluewater
- later last journey to New Ash Green from Bluewater (16:37)
- school journeys to Longfield school (previously 489).
- 489 bus New Ash Green to Gravesend
- new operator (1st Bus Stop of Gravesend)
- school journeys to Longfield School rebadged as 479 service
So while there is a slight improvement for residents of Hartley and New Ash Green, practically everyone else loses by the changes. Longfield sees the number buses to Bluewater almost halve from 9 to 5 per day.
Worse still, New Barn, Southfleet and Betsham lose all buses to Bluewater. Not sure they will agree with the MP's claim on Facebook that the changes are a "big boost for residents in the south east part of the constituency".....
