Vandals attack buses and gritters in New Ash Green
(Kent Messenger, 2 Feb) Brick attack on gritting lorry by Oliver's Mill was followed by another attack on the 20.07 Gravesend to New Ash Green bus.  Windscreen smashed, Arriva withdrew buses from Hartley and New Ash Green the following evening.

Police car rammed by burglary suspect after chase from Medway to Longfield
(Kent Messenger, 14 Feb) Policemen suffer whiplash when car they were pursuing backed into them at Longfield.
