Parish Council Extraordinary Meeting 23 July 2020

Parish   Council: Councillors

10 councillors were present for   Zoom meeting, along with Helen Boden (clerk), Cllr Brazier (KCC) and 1 member   of the public.  There were no declarations   of interest

Parish Council:   Covid-19

The Amenities Committee of 7 July had voted   to hold off opening the Manor Field Pavilion except for access to the toilets   for the Cricket Club.  Following   Government and Action on Communities in rural Kent advice they decide to open   the Pavilion, but not the kitchen or changing rooms.  Signage to be followed and a maximum of 6   (or instructor plus 3) to use it, hirers to wipe clean surfaces touched,   follow signage and police use of toilets to ensure social distancing.  As the cricket club were the only ones   using the pavilion at the moment they thought once a week clean was   sufficient but paid Dartclean an extra £8 to sanitise surfaces.  The clerk confirmed that they are covered   by insurance as long as they follow official guidelines.  (2) Regarding playgrounds as well as   government and ACRE advice they had heard from Association of Play   Industries.  They felt the government   guidelines were not feasible in particular providing stewards, booking system,   cleaning daily, provision of hand sanitiser, relocation of equipment and new   exit/entries.  They decided to take a   "pragmatic" approach and open all three playgrounds but tell   parents they are responsible for cleaning equipment and sanitising their   children's hands.  (3) Parish Office   arrangements of clerk working from home and assistant clerk from the office   thought to be working satisfactorily

Parish Council:   Data Protection

Their current GDPR officer is leaving   the area so they agreed to pay Satswana £150 to provide the service in   future.

Parish Council:   Website

They discussed the measures needed to meet   the government Website Content Accessibility Guidelines by September   2020.  They have problems with agreeing   terms with the contractor they had agreed upon.  However now their curent provider reckoned   they can do this free of charge.  They   agreed to proceed on that basis but allowed the appointment of one of the   other original bidders if this doesn't work.

Popular baby names locally
(26 August 2020) As well as publishing the annual list of top 100 names for new born boys and girls, the Office for National Statistics now give statistics for the top 100 by local authority area for 2019.  The national winners Oliver and Olivia did well locally, but in Dartford and Sevenoaks George was the winner.  Olivia was the top girls name in Dartford and Sevenoaks but in Gravesend Amelia came out top.  Ava was 4th nationally but didn't feature at all in Dartford top 100.
