17 January 2026 - Train stopped between Swanley and Rochester due to a blockage on the line
Blockage said to be at Longfield.  Trains diverted while investigation carried out.

(1) Grab lorry organised to remove fly tipping at Whitehill Road.  KCC being asked to add bollards to prevent it happening in future.  (2) Ivy removal at Nurstead Lane to cost £450.

Report of planning meeting of Sevenoaks Council on the New Ash Green Solar application.  It seems they wish to refuse it, but are still looking for legal grounds to do so, after statutory consultees raised no significant objections.  Interview with local action group which says they have raised £100,000 to oppose the scheme.
