Boys' and Girls' Brigades
There are Boys' Brigade and Girls Brigade companies based in New Ash Green

Church Groups
All Saints' Church of England Church run two youth groups - Sunday Club and Katch.

The North Kent Community Church run a range of activities for young people up to the age of 18.

Farming
Meopham Young Farmers are based at Meopham Secondary School

Football
Hartley de Sales FC runs a number of football teams for ages 7-18.  Most of their home fixtures are at Manor Field in Church Road.

HAWK
HAWK stands for Hartley, Ash and West Kingsdown, and is a youth partnership run by the local councils and Kent County Council.  The project employs a youth worker who organises activities for local youth.  Further details are available from the local parish councils.

Playgrounds
There are recreation grounds with play equipment at Woodland Avenue, Chantry Avenue and Manor Road, Longfield Hill.

Scouting
Longfield and Hartley Scout Group runs 2 Beaver Units for 5-8 year olds, 2 Cub Units for 8-10½ year olds, 2 Scout Units for 10½ - 14 and one Explorer unit for over 14s.

Their headquarters is in Larkwell Lane, Hartley.
