Village Design Statement

Present

1.  Apologies

2.  Minutes of meeting held on 17 October 2005
They were agreed with one typographical amendment (para 1 amend "non" to "none").

3.  Matters Arising
None.

4. Treasurer
Mark said that there is now £4,917 in the deposit account.  The following payments have been made: (1) Parish Council for freepost (£7.09); (2) Church Hall and expenses (£40).

5.  Fundraiser
Mark reported that the Defra scheme is very complicated, and we may not be eligible for the Community Fund because of the grant from CIRK.  Gerald had attended a meeting about Market Town Health Check, and said there were problems applying for this scheme, not least the requirement to employ consultants.

6.  Open Day
This had been very successful.  At least 100 people attended, who were interested and complimentary.  We received a number of comments on the findings.  Gerald has written a report for the Hart and the Hartley Herald.

7.  Village Design Statement/Parish Plan
It was agreed that: (1) Peter/Mark/Margaret/Malcolm to look at Gerald's draft and make comments by next meeting; (2) Committee members to comment on Peter's draft report on the Questionnaire by the next meeting; (3) Gerald to bring revised documents to next meeting.

8.  Any other business
At the suggestion of Mark, a timetable was agreed for publication - (1) Final Draft (Feb 06); (2) Design (Apr 06), Printing (Jun 06).  Derick to manage the design aspect and contact graphic designers.
