Silverdale is a small road of 16 terraced houses, built just off Wellfield in 1984. The houses were built and sold by Sevenoaks Council, together with others in neighbouring Hawthorns.
The value of the houses here has grown greatly. One of the houses sold in 1984 for £29,380. By 2002 they were changing hands for £129,995. The most recent sales have been around the £150,000 mark.
The road is named after the old name for Larksfield, which was changed in 1948 by Dartford Rural District Council.
