This is a summary of a conveyance held in the Centre for Kentish Studies at Maidstone. This was the second purchase in Hartley by Thomas Edwards in little more than a month (see conveyance of Hartley Cottage, 10 October 1646). The seller is John Overy, the owner of Fairby Farm. Thomas passed the house onto his relative John, and they were both parties to the sale of the same in 1658 to Thomas Young of Fairby. Thomas died in 1673 (click here to view will) |

Bounded by lands now or late of Edward Best and Tristram Bashford (S); to the King's Highway from Ash to Dartford (W); other lands of John Overy (N) and to the lands of Sir John Sedley (E).
