This is a service provided by Kent County Council for those with a medical condition which makes travelling by public transport difficult, or for those who live more than 400m from a bus route.  It costs £5 a year to join, plus the fares for the journey.  You can travel anywhere in Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley areas and to some places in SE London.  It is available 8am to 6pm weekdays and 9am to 6pm at weekends.

Click here for further details or phone 01622 605349.

Public Transport - Concessionary Fares
A countywide free bus permit (or a rail warrant for £10) is available even if you are under 60.  Contact
Sevenoaks District Council for more information (01732 227000).

Car Drivers - Blue Badge Scheme
This scheme allows badge holders to park in designated parking bays or on some double-yellow lines.  The scheme is run by Kent County Council and details are to be found on their
website (or phone 01622 605020).

Kent County Council - Floating Support
The aim of Floating Support is to give short term (up to 2 years) help to tenants or homeowners who are in difficulties to remain independent.  This scheme is not just for the disabled but "anyone who needs housing-related support" (examples include the elderly, teenage parents, those fleeing domestic abuse).  Contact the Supporting People team at KCC - supportingpeopleteam@kent.gov.uk (01622 694953).

Shopping - Bluewater
Details of facilities for customers with disabilities are available on the centre's website (0870 777 0252)
