Will of Thomas Goodwin of Fawkham (1844)

This is the last will and testament of me Thomas Goodwin of the parish of Fawkham in the county of Kent, which I now make in manner following. First I give and bequeath all I die possessed of unto my dear wife Mary Goodwin and to all my children for their own use and benefit, subject to the discretion of my executors hereinafter named, but in case my said wife should marry after my decease, then I giver her the sum of £10 and I give the remainder to my children for their sole use and benefit. And I appoint my father Thomas Goodwin of the parish of Hartley in the same county aforesaid, and John Mills farmer of the parish of Horton Kirby... and Richard Bishop of the parish of Meopham.... my trustees and executors to this my last will and testament ..... In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal this 17th day of June 1844.
