Will of Sarah Effield Tasker of Wilmington, widow

"Whereas I am seised in fee simple in possession of and in certain messuages, buildings and lands with the appurtenances, situate in the parishes of Hartley, Ash next Ridley, and Kingsdown in the said county of Kent, some or one of them and now in the several tenures or occupations of Owen Parsons and Francis Treadwell. Now I do hereby give and devise the same and all other my real estate of which I am seised in my own right unto and to the use of my daughters Sarah Tasker and Mary Tasker, their heirs and assigns forever, equally to be divided between them as tenants in common and not as joint tenants."

There are detailed instructions regarding an investment of £3,975 in 3% Government Stock.

She mentions 5 children of her and John Tasker - John Tasker, Reverend Henry Tasker of Pembroke College, Oxford William Tasker, Sarah Tasker and Mary Tasker.

She also mentions a marriage settlement made 5 December 1788 which gave her the freedom to dispose of some of her property.

She appoints Henry Tasker and Henry Chapman as executors.

Dated 30 January 1829. Witnesses: Thomas Broadley Tooks, solicitor, Dartford, Kent; William Chitty, Mary Bell, servants to Mr Tasker.
